Licensed gas fitting, certified every time
Licensed LPG and natural gas fitting, appliance installation, leak detection and compliance — done by the owner who quotes it, certified to WA standard on every job.
Drive the Turquoise Coast and you notice the gas bottles beside every house. Most blocks around Lancelin, Nilgen and Jurien Bay sit well off reticulated natural gas, so homes here run on LPG — bottles, bulk tanks, changeover valves and regulators exposed to salt air. That is the gas work North Contracting knows best. Kim holds Gas Licence GF18995 and fits gas across residential, commercial and remote WA. New cooktop, a leak you can smell, or a full LPG system — quoted and certified properly.
“One licensed operator for plumbing and gas — and the paperwork done properly on every job.”
Licensed gas fitting, done to WA standard
Gas isn't a job for shortcuts. Every line, fitting and connection we install or repair is carried out under Gas Licence GF18995 and finished to Western Australian standard — no exceptions. From running a new gas line to relocating a supply, replacing worn regulators, or pressure-testing an existing system, the work is done by a licensed gas fitter with 20-plus years in the trade. On coastal blocks that means using fittings that stand up to salt air, and mounting bottles and regulators where corrosion and weather won't shorten their life. You get gas that works and gas that's safe — verified, not assumed.
LPG and natural gas — both fuels, one fitter
Along the coast, LPG is the default. Bottles, twin-cylinder changeover setups, bulk tanks for larger homes and off-grid blocks — we install, service and certify the lot, and we'll size the supply to what your appliances actually draw. Where reticulated natural gas is connected, we handle that too, including the conversions needed when an appliance is set up for the wrong fuel. It's a genuine local knowledge thing: knowing which streets have mains gas and which don't saves you guessing, and saves a wasted callout.
Gas appliance installation
Cooktops, ovens, gas hot water units, space heaters, outdoor kitchens and BBQ points — supplied or supply-your-own, we connect, test and commission them properly. Before anything is signed off we check the appliance matches your fuel type, confirm clearances and ventilation, and pressure-test the connection. Bottle-fed alfresco kitchen on a coastal build, or a new instantaneous hot water system for a holiday rental between guests — the install is neat, compliant and ready to use.
Gas leak detection and make-safe
A smell of gas is not something to sit on. We carry out electronic leak detection to pinpoint the fault — at the bottle, the regulator, a fitting or somewhere along the line — then isolate and make the system safe before any repair begins. On remote and coastal properties where a callout means real distance, we come prepared to diagnose, make safe and fix in the one visit wherever we can, so you are not left with the supply shut off waiting days for a return.
Compliance certificates, lodged every time
Compliance-first is how we work. Every gas job gets the correct WA gas compliance paperwork completed and lodged — your record that the work was done by a licensed gas fitter, to standard, with nothing left undocumented. It matters more than people think: for home insurance, for settlement when you sell, and for short-stay and holiday-rental owners who need current gas certification on file. With North Contracting the certificate isn't an optional extra you have to chase. It's part of the job, done.
